Manfrotto 498 Ball Head Replaces Manfrotto 488

Thank You Shawn Thompson here from Shawn Thompson photography calm and what I'm going to show you today is how to convert a Manfrotto ball head this is a 488 RC 4 we're going to convert it over to an ARCA Swiss style clamp and put an L bracket on my 5d so make it real easy for switching from horizontal to portrait and not having to change the composition and it just makes things a whole lot easier this clamp here is it does the job but it's just clunky and you can't get an L bracket for as far as I know and if you could it'd be huge so start by just removing the 6 millimeter screw here right in the middle or an m6 M - 6 I guess is the other name for it but it's a typical 6 millimeter screw with a tapered end here at the top and you just take that out done and then what you want to do is want to make sure you get a parka swiss-style clamp that has the recessed hole right here and you can
