Toshiba SD2050 DVD Player

[Applause] hello youtubers well down here on the bench I don't just work on ham radio stuff I work on all kinds of electronics and had an old co-worker friend of mine bring me buy this DVD player that he really likes he wants it to wants to keep using it and it has a problem he already took the door off himself he's got that back in his house he was trying to fix it but will power it on powers up okay but if I try to open the cd-rom drive nope ah you can't hear that but I can hear a little bit as the motor is trying to crank the tray out so the tray is stuck for some reason and I thought this might make an interesting video will will open it up and take a close look at the drive mechanism inside of a consumer DVD player and you know it might be interesting to see how it operates and hopefully free it up and get it working again for them so looks like we've got one two three four five sc
