hey guys Tim here just going to do a quick unpackaging of the arctic silver five thermal compound and the Arctic clean thermal compound remover so the arctic silver five as in my opinion one of the better thermal compounds on the market right now you can go with something like some of the diamond ones but we're going to be using this in a future video on repairing this the built-in heat spreader on an ivy bridge processor so I needed something that wouldn't scratch the the actual processor die itself the Arctic clean is a two-part thermal compound remover comes in a part one which is the material remover is to get the bulk of the material off and then a part two is the purifier the purifier you can use you know say you buy a new processor use the purifier there's always going to be a little tiny bit of residue somebody packaged it you opened it somebody will have touched it the cleaner
