hi I'm Dave troll with the troll Galleria custom furniture shop in Saint Petersburg Florida and I'm gonna talk to you today about how to use a drill Chuck key real simple you're gonna find that on most of your drill presses it's getting harder and harder to find one on a a hand drill those are mostly going with keyless chucks we're gonna go ahead and talk about a keyed Chuck today first thing we want to do is open our chuck up enough to get our drill bit in and then we can go ahead and manually close it until we're just snug that's where our Chuck key comes in and one thing you want to make sure is that your chuck key matches your chuck there are different sizes of keys you need to match both the post and the angle and tooth count it's really best to go with your manufacturer's key if you do get an aftermarket key so you lost yours make sure that you do the best you can to match it up o
