hi I'm Kristy kay and today I'm going to show you how to install wall sconces I've laid out all my materials here the sconce itself my bracket my tools and my hardware in the first pieces we want to take the bracket and measure the distance from the headboard on the wall so on take a pencil find a comfortable spot for the bracket so that I have clearance for not only sconce but also the lampshade that will be mounted onto the sconce so that looks about comfortable take a pencil trace my holes and now I want to just take a level and make sure everything is right on which it is okay next I want to take my drill and drill bit and make a small pilot hole to see if we have a stud we don't have a stud we'll want to mount this using a no stud which means there won't be a stud below as well so I'll go ahead and I'll fill another pilot hole change over to my bit and I'll take my wall anchor and
