hi this is Josh from apt and this is the wire storm express this is an analog to digital audio converter so what's going to happen here is you're going to connect a digital connection like optical audio or coaxial audio and then that 5.1 surround sound can actually be safely converted to analog audio manufactured under dolby licensing you've got really just good technology in here that's not going to really mess up your audio let's give you a couple examples why you might need this number one is Apple TV Apple TV has no analog output what if you need to run that red white cable into your receiver you can't do it with an apple TV so something like this is going to let you take the analog connection that goes from the apple TV the optical connection that goes from the apple TV into here optical in and you can run the red white out right into your receiver you might even need to do that ev
