the two main techniques of illumination used in stereomicroscopy: On the one hand, fiber optic illumination and
cold light sources such as our KL series, on the other hand, direct LED illumination
as in our EasyLED and VisiLED series. Stereomicroscope illumination has its origin in fiber optic illumination. Back in 1960, in other words almost 60 years ago, SCHOTT introduced the first cold light source
