hi I'm James and in this video I'm taking a look at replacing the keyboard on a 13-inch MacBook Air this is a mid-2011 machine and this guide will also cover some of the other models there are differences between some of them and but generally it's a very similar process throughout just some minor differences in terms of where things screws go and the likes and to begin with I need a 1.2 mil pentalobe screwdriver bit and we are going to go around with this and remove the screws from the base of the laptop and fairly simple first step here we have two lengths of screw and they are all visible from the outset so we're just going to work our way around and unscrew everything this particular machine basically the problem is presenting is it won't power on and that is because of liquid damage to the keyboard which means the power button is no longer functioning and this was diagnosed by disc
