so a client brought me this laptop it's been getting an error message about the cooling fan not running when they originally brought it to me this hinge over here was very loose I tightened up the screw and it seems to have helped but I can see here that it's actually cracked this base unit I was thinking that by putting it back in place maybe the fan would start spinning and the error message would go away but when I powered it on go ahead and do that the error message was still there and it doesn't really say that the fans not working it says that it's not functioning correctly or operating correctly is exactly what it says the fan itself if I listen I can hear it running so chances are it's just not running fast enough for the computer to be happy so what I'm gonna do is open this up and I already purchased a replacement fan I'm going to replace the fan and then see if I can get this
