Larger than Life Screen Size

The large, 9-inch screen has Capacitive Touch and a Swipe Graphical User Interface is optimized for in-vehicle smartphone use. The next-generation design makes screen performance even faster.

The X409-WRA-JK has an IP53 rating against dustand water, for a weather-resistant dashsystem that's built to handle the toughest outdoor elements. The high-visibility screen has been engineered to adjust to low or highsunlight for maximum clarity when driving.

Apple CarPlay

The X409-WRA-JK "Works with Apple CarPlay" and lets iPhone users make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the capacitive touch screen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control and is compatible with iPhone 5 and later (iPhone must be connected via Apple lightning cable).

Android Auto

The X409-WRA-JK includes Android Auto and works with the Google Assistant (requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth connection; requires an Android phone running 5.0 [Lollipop] or higher and the Android Auto app). To access the Google Assistant on Android Auto, say "OK Google" or select the mic button. Google Assistant in Android Auto allows users to play their favorite music, get driving directions to their destination, interact with smart home devices and reply to text messages - hands-free.

[Music] hey what's up everybody Phil Bowen here with Alpine electronics today we're gonna be installing the new X 409 WRA for the 2012 and up Wrangler JK so let's go ahead and grab our tools and then I'll walk you through the install [Music] the first thing we want to do is disconnect the negative battery terminal [Music] so the next step in the install is disassembly we're gonna remove the upper dash panel the knee bolster panel and the HVAC controls using a panel removal tool pop the window switch out to access the seven millimeter screw that's behind it next remove the rubber tray from the upper dash panel and remove the seven millimeter screw underneath it next we'll remove the lower dash panel to access the two screws behind that [Music] all right now with all the screws removed now we can remove the upper dash panel and now with the upper dash panel removed we can remove this side
