this video will show how to connect a GDL 39 to Garmin pilot to receive a DSP traffic and weather first press and release the button on top of the GDL 39 to turn it on you will see a green steady light now press and hold the button to turn on pairing mode you should see a flashing blue light and a steady green light now go to the Bluetooth settings of your device turn on Bluetooth and select the gdl 39 from the list of devices one spared press the home button on the iPad an open Garmin pilot press home connects then GDL 39 from this menu you can manage your GDL 39 let's make sure the ad SB information is active on the map page press home then map select the layers button at the bottom left of the screen make sure that the overlays tab is highlighted make sure that radar is checked then touch the drop-down arrow to select ad SB also make sure that ad sb traffic is selected now the GDL 39
