The SM-2B-ESD is a 7X-45X binocular stereo zoom microscope, safe to use with electronic components which are sensitive to electrostatic-discharge. It includes top and bottom halogen illumination for opaque and translucent objects. The continuous-zoom .7X-4.5X objective lenses offer a wide range of magnification with smooth movement. The 10X eyepieces provide a magnification range from 7X to 45X, with a maximum field-of-view of 28mm. The 45° inclined design provides a comfortable viewing angle, with easy interpupillary-adjustment, and diopters on both ocular tubes.

This microscope is specially treated to prevent electrostatic-discharge which could damage sensitive electronic or magnetic components. Using aftermarket accessories such as additional eyepieces, Barlow lenses, or cameras may negate the ESD protection.
