[Music] hi guys matt from masterjohn here and in today's video take a quick look a handy little installation tool which is a poe splitter combiner this gives you the ability to run two cameras down a single cable so rj45 connections on each end and a cat5 or a cat6 cable now we've looked at these before typically you need to run a poe switch so you can make your switch into the rest of your network or in gpe ports or your network on the mvr with the new dowel nvrs though we no longer need the po switch so not only are we saving on cabling costs to the camera locations using this but also saving on the ability that we don't need a pv switch so i'm gonna take that out of the equation what we can do with these is you have your male end that you connect into the recorder itself so i'm going to catch one end of the cable into there i'm going to go into port one two on the back of the recorde
