Description
This bundle contains a digital ISHD571 iPod interface from iSimple, a Bluetooth 30-pin audio receiver from Radio Specialty and dash trim removal tools from Radio Specialty. -- The ISHD571 plugs in the factory plug behind your radio and allows you to directly connect any iPod with a 30-pin connector or any other device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack via the included cables. If you have an XM, XM/AUX or SAT/AUX button on your radio and your vehicle is on the application list for the ISHD571 at pac-audio.com, you have the required plug. The cable that connects this to your radio is a T-harness, so it has an extra plug to allow you to retain any factory device currently connected to the radio. (Except satellite radio, in some cases.) There are a number of other exclusions so be sure to check the Compatibility Notes tab for the ISHD571 on the pac-audio.com website. -- The included 30-pin Bluetooth receiver is for streaming audio wirelessly through the iPod cable. (This is for streaming sound from your device. There is no microphone to support calling features.) When using it in this manner, you will access the audio from the AUX1 mode on the interface. (Assuming you have the iPod cable plugged in port 1.) You will control the content from the phone/device as delivered but there is another Amazon listing (B018H1MIJ4) that includes a wireless Bluetooth remote which is small and unobtrusive and allows you to keep the phone/device in your pocket/purse, out of sight. -- Finally, since removal of the radio will be required for installation, dash trim removal tools are included. Don't tear up your dash with metal tools or make-shift pry bars. Use the same kind of tools the pros have.
