[Music] hello thanks for stopping by Doug over my slacks been playing around with his I am 5280 for the fete multimeter and he said that he wanted to take and convert it over to running out AC power instead of the batteries so he took an ordered a converter from China to take him put out the plus and minus nine volts that he needs I thought we'd take a look and see whether we can't take and make our own now the first thing we need to do he's using a six volt wall wart so we have to take him and bring the six volts up to nine volts now to do that we're going to be using a the chip called an mc34063 a it's one and a half and step up step down or inverting switching regulator and I played around with these a lot they're a lot of fun to play with there's three different circuits you can take and make depending on you know what you're doing they can see in this picture here there's three dif
