hello and welcome to a tutorial video from Kemetic camera in this video we'll be showing you how to attach lens accessories to a Canon Powershot SX series camera now this will apply to other SX series cameras as well but in this case we're using an sx60 HS now the first thing to note is that this camera does not have filter threads it does have a series of grooves here in the front that resemble filter threads but trust us it's not if you try to put a filter on here it's not going to work what you need to do is use an adapter and many of our kits including this camera come with an adapter and that attaches to the front of this lens now this adapter is made of plastic so it is a little bit flexible to make it easier to attach to this camera you'll want to attach something more rigid to it first you could use a step-down adapter or you could use a filter in this case we'll be using a UV f
