Here we have 3/8 inch outside diameter water line. This will be measured outside to outside by setting a tape measure next to it. This would go inside of this ferrule nut, which then attaches to the compression fitting, and of course this would be tightened down with a wrench or an appropriate tool, and that’s it, there’s nothing to it. This water line’s not going anywhere, and you have your standard compression connection. Now for Quick Connect fittings, it’s a little different.
