i bought this to analyze a couple of things but it's turned out to be so fun to use that in playing with it like a toy it's hard to adjust to see things upside down and learning to move everything in the opposite direction as it appears in the microscope want to see something on the left through the microscope you have to move it to the right so weird 5 stars though if you just like to look at small stuff quickly without a lot of preparation this little microscope paired with a good 7x hand lens a hastings triplet which will cost several times what this scope costs is just about all you need more magnification than 60x is often not very usable with a small scope like this in the field or even at your lab desk or table i have many microscopes including classic binocular compound models like the nikon sk and bausch and lum dino zoom and stereo zoom microscopes like the meiji em z5 and sma
