CB Radio " GumDrop " Dome Type Beehive Antenna Surface Mount

hi this is Chris k2 cjb but K 2 C GB radio and if you're a mobile ham radio operator there's a good chance you use one of these this is a stud mount and unfortunately these mounts can fail stay tuned [Applause] the reason for this video is I had a problem about three months ago with one of my vertical ham sticks on the truck actually they're made by shark the ham sticks but it's the same idea it's a vertical antenna one for xx and one for 40 meters the 40 meter antenna some time ago all of a sudden exhibited a problem where it seemed like the antenna wasn't even there thought it was disconnected I thought it's a problem with the antenna switch inside the truck so I was troubleshooting everything I actually ran a cable from the output of the radio right to the antenna mount problem was still there I took everything apart and I looked inside the antenna mount itself and the little shoulde
