This is a correction to my old DFPlayerMini video about playing MP3 files with Arduino Previously, I just had straight connections from Arduino to the MP3 player board but actually the signal pins of the DFPlayerMini board are not 5 volts tolerant It still can be powered by 5 volts And the speaker can be connected to the speaker output of the board But we need a voltage divider on the RX signal TX can still be connected directly to Arduino since it can read the 3.3 volt input signal Currently, I am powering it directly from the Arduino 5 volt pin for simpicity But actually, it would be better to use a separate power supply for the DFPlayerMini board This will reduce noise and you could use more powerful speakers On the code side I am using DFRobot DFPlayerMini library In this example, I just start playing file 5 which is the laugh track
