to spike or not to spike that is the question with uh apologies to mr shakespeare okay wesley in amsterdam is right i mean he says some people say that spikes underneath floor standing speakers will couple your speakers to the ground other people say it decouples the speaker so what is it i have a parquet floor on top of concrete and i'm wondering what is preferred and are you or are you not coupling the speakers with spikes i think the bass will get tighter with decoupling the speakers okay this is a constant question that we get out and spikes will tighten the base and i think there's a bit of semantics going on but spikes decouple from the floor because you have a smaller point of contact and again semantic we can argue all day whether that because obviously all the weight is still there but with a spike in my opinion you are decoupling but the important thing is whether we're coupli
