this video we're going to cover some of the basics of the DSLR my name is Hal - Bob and I'm going to start off by showing you my single lens reflex now this is a manual camera from way back and the basic difference between this and the DSLR is you open the back and you'll see where the film compartment is here and the DSLR on the back this particular one is a Canon EOS 7d and it has a three inch digital display on the back where the film would be in your SLR aside from that they're basically and I mean basically the same camera they both use a mirror and prism system so that's why they're called the reflex or single lens reflex you can see here the inside of the SLR in it looks very very similar to what the inside of the digital SLR looks like they both use different types of lenses and they both allow you to see through the lens to see exactly what's going to be captured when I went lo
