changing the platen roller when installing the platen roller the first thing you should do is turn off your printer to install the platen roller remove the front panel if you have not done so already remove the front tear plate by removing the thumb screw remove the sensor cover by pulling out the far side and then pulling away from the center plate using a screw driver remove the two screws and remove the bracket raise the print head gently pivot and remove the old platen roller to install the new platen roller simply reverse the process while holding the platen roller in place replace the bracket and reattach the screws turn the roller to make sure everything else turns replace the sensor cover by snapping into place replace the tear bar and install the thumb screw replace the front panel you
