SmoothScan and SmoothSlow modes provide the cleanest playback of DVD in slow motion and scan speeds, and DVD/CD Text functionality displays title and artist information on encoded discs.

Top-of-the-line component-video outputs help minimize line scan and digital artifacts on compatible advanced televisions, while composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any television. The back panel offers one output each for S-video, and component-video, and a pair of composite-video/stereo analog audio (left/right RCA) jacks in the event you wish to feed the same signal to two televisions. In any case, a 10-bit video DAC with 27 MHz processing ensures accurate video with smooth gradations of color and contrast.

Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio outputs (one each optical and coaxial) for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. [Music] hey there my name is Spencer and today I've got the Sony five disc DVD and CD player to show you the model number of it is DVP - NC 600 but first of all quick fact did you know that DVD stands for digital versatile disc and digital video disc so now that you know that let's jump right into this so on the rear panel of it you've got a few different ways to hook it up you've got digital audio for your audio you can use optical or coaxial and then you've got your line out you can connect it to up to two separate devices with the component you've got one output that's if you use a component that's your best picture and then s-video would be the second best and then composite would be the lowest quality all right so let's hook it up and went hug it up you just want to make sure you match up the colors we're gonna hook it up with component cables so we'll plug in the video cable first
