Handle with built-in safety lock mechanism keep the lid in closed position and makes liquid heating safer. Please keep the handle in lock position when heating liquid and pouring the boiled liquid, or steam may burn your hand.
There is a nice little pivoting paddle which locks the handle to keep the lid closed, this makes pouring a bit safer.
Unlock the safety lock and the lid keeps open, please lock it when pouring and heating.
The flame can't contact the silicone kettle body.
