today I'm gonna review Ellen Chrome's new ELC 500 mono light it replaces their mid-range BRX and adds high speed sync TTL and an LED modeling light so let's get started I've been using three ELC 500s for the last two months and I've been dying to tell somebody about it and I am so glad that I can finally share it with someone in this video today Ellen Chrome's new ELC 500 offers many features that were only previously available in their LB 500 a battery-powered flesh the other great thing about using high-speed sync in the studio is that you can shoot at any shutter speed you want to stop action I'm gonna go into detail on all of those things and more but before that let's talk about the design the exterior of the ELC 500 is a lot curvier than its predecessor and its larger quicker older brother the ELC 500 pro HD it also has a dark grey standard reflector that comes with the light now
