First thing that you want to look at is that there are four things that identify how well a Surge Suppressor will actually protect your equipment. Clamping Voltage is the voltage level that will cause the Metal Oxide Varistors or MOBs to conduct electricity to the ground line. A lower Clamping Voltage indicates better protection.
