hey everyone this is Simon in today's video I'll be reviewing the Explorer scientific edy 102 carbon fiber apple chromatic refractor this is a really versatile scope with some pretty cool features and it can do a bunch of different things so I'm excited to jump into this one and we'll get going right now the first thing that really took me by surprise when I opened the telescope for the first time was this how small it is normally an 80 millimeter refracting telescope is considered the king of portability in being lightweight really and when I opened the 102 I was shocked to see how small it really was with a collapse do shield it's only about 24 inches long with the extendable do shield it only comes out to about 27 inches so it's still really really short and with this beautiful carbon fiber body it's only 7 pounds which is crazy it's so light really portable it makes you want to just
