installing the fuser in the Lexmark C 540 series printers be sure you turn your printer off and allow it to cool for 30 minutes before beginning this procedure we'll start by turning the switch off on the front of the machine and then remove the power cord remove the paper tray open the front access cover and the right side toner access door flips up and there's two retaining clips push those in and the right-side door comes off the left side has three screws on the rear you'll need to remove those three screws there is another screw on the bottom of that side cover remove that screw take the yellow toner cartridge out and you'll notice a spring on a flange on the side of the fuser take a pair of needle nose pliers and grasp the top of that spring and release it from the flange there's one on the right and it's the same on the left grasp that with the needlenose pliers pull it off the f
