[Music] hi everyone its James here from pro tools expert and welcome to my review my long awaited review of this baby this is the business end of the slate VMs the virtual microphone system now the slate VMs is a three part solution if you like it's the microphone it's the VMS one mic pre which I have on the desk and it's the virtual mix rack software with added goodies to make this all kind of work together I'm very very excited to be testing this I think the VMS was announced originally back now 2015 it might've even been 2014 not sure on that one and but they have become a very rare beast the first batch of production vanished off the shelves so I'm very lucky to have got one of the first ones to land in Europe now this review is going to be just that it's going to be a review of the three elements of the system it's not going to be a direct comparison between the slate VMs and other
