GE MAGICUBES For X-Pattern Camera Mount Sockets

a friend of mine gave me these GE magic cubes they're a disposable flash for old film cameras on the back there's a bunch of tips on how to use them and on the bottom there's a pretty lengthy caution message that mentions being able to accidentally set them off without the camera not standing too close to them and not using them in explosive atmosphere and I thought that was pretty weird because most flashes need a battery to set them off or that the camera has a capacitor to set them off so I wasn't really sure how you could set off a flash without using a battery not heeding the warning on the bottom I poked something into the bottom of the flash and it went off in my hand and got pretty hot so it's understandable why you wouldn't want to be too close to it and why you shouldn't be poking things in the bottom of the cube so after I set one off accidentally I went on to Wikipedia to fi
