all right it's time for another kit build I haven't done one of these in quite a while and I saw this little SMD soldering practice board on eBay and I thought it would be fun to construct and I've had to spend some time finding the instructions for this so hopefully people will be able to use my video here as a guide for actually building the thing now these columns here on the outsides are just meant for the actual prep soldering practice there's no electrical connections on this side it's just so that you can practice hand soldering the small components but I'm actually not going to do that because I kind of want to just keep those components in case I need them for other things so we're going to focus on the center section here which is actually a little bit of a light show using a CD 401 seven decade counter a 555 timer and some other stuff so we're going to go ahead and start with
