HISTORY OF THE HELIOS 40-2:
It all started with the lens Helios-40. According to the official version of the Krasnogorsk plant named after S. Zverev, an analogue of the optical scheme (6 elements in 4 groups, Planar-type).
Since August 2012, the Krasnogorsk plant began producing small lots of Helios-40-2 lens using multi-layer achromatic coating.

[Music] hello my friends back with another video today and it is going to be episode number two in the dream lense series today I have the Helios 42 okay it's an 85 millimeter 1.5 aperture yeah F 1.5 is what it opens up to and it is a pretty beautiful lens okay this is one of so basically I wanted to explain to you guys obviously I've done extensive videos on my gear setup stuff I use for weddings 3585 combo the 24 and the 50 in my case the 58 but those two combos are basically what we used me and my wife were either I'm on the 35 and 85 or she's on the 24 and the 50 or vice-versa but I think it's important for everybody who's wedding photographers is once you get comfortable with those focal lengths or whatever combo that you're gonna use for Prime's to throw in like a kind of extra you know lens that you use sparingly that can kind of help you with some creative portraits sometimes I
