IBM - 4230/4232 PRINTHEAD ASM - 56G9278

hi my name is chris edgar from rds and i'm going to show you really quickly how to fix a common problem with these uh ibm 4610-2cr printers uh so i've already taken paper out but we'll go ahead and open it up and we'll see that it's kind of hard to see with the light but i'm doing my best given what i have here uh we kind of open this flap here you just push on it and you push it down and in here you could see right here is the thermal print head and right here underneath it i've got focus problems here right here is underneath it is a ribbon cable that plugs into it from underneath now a common problem is that this becomes a little bit disconnected just a little bit so that it'll cause striping it'll cause maybe half the receipt to not print or it might cause just the printer to not communicate with the lane at all and you'll see an orange light blinking on on this light right here so
