this is an impact octa cool six it's sold by B&H photo video in New York I'm a big fan of BN h they've got a huge selection very competitive prices and their customer service is excellent I recommend them highly this is the six there's also a nine this is continuous lighting fluorescent and the difference between the two is that the six has six bulbs and the nine has nine it's a good product it's got a metal reflector it's got a pot metal base nice sturdy handle the the optical six has three switches on the back to control different numbers of bulbs the nine has five switches and the combination of varying the number of bulbs illuminated with the distance of the lamp to the subject gives you a lot of control over illumination sometimes you're going to want to diffuse or gel one of these lights for diffusion every optical ships with the optional softbox you take off the metal reflector y
