Introduction To Playing Flute

[Music] hi I'm Emily and welcome to your first flute lesson so to begin with we'll learn how to do us just make a basic sound on your flute with only the head joint so your flute has three parts the head the body and the foot so we'll take the head first this part here and we'll make our first sound by putting our hand to block the end of it you know and just going blowing like that so when you make a flute sound you need to have a little bit of air going in and some air out of them of the embouchure and that's what makes the whistle so you put your mouth like this and you blow across once you're good with that you can go you can make little rhythms okay so that's a basic sound and it's usually pretty easy to make it if you can't make it maybe check in the mirror and explore what angle is best you know it's a little bit like any type of whistling and not like whistling at all like that
