so now in this video we're going to talk about the trimmer potentiometer and using it on a breadboard trimmer potentiometer is more commonly called a trim pot and it's a potentiometer like this potentiometer but of course it's smaller and it's not made to be used as often this one is a heavier duty but it won't snap into a breadboard whereas the trimmer potentiometer will and that's the main reason why I use them in my prototype circuits so now zooming in and the components we got the potentiometer there and the trim pots there so you'll notice both of these have three terminals so this one has three all on one side here the trim pot has its three terminals but two of them are on the flat edge here and then one of them's on the other side of the trim pot now you'll also notice both of these the potentiometer and trim pots have their values on there so this is a hundred kilo ohms hundred
