hey guys this is Steve with tronics fix again today we're going to be looking at a ps4 12-15 a also known as the 1200 in other countries what we're going to be doing today is we're going to swap out the disc drive this is another disc drive we have four right here the reason for this is because if you notice on these newer disk drives there's no big green board right here on the older models this green board had a chip that was married to the motherboard this model does not have that chip does not have the board on it just has the small board with the power button on it or the eject button so it looks like these ones you can just swap up the drive without changing anything on the board since it's not there so what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and swap that out and see if that will it'll still work when we're done we're assuming it will simply because there's no chip to b
