hello this is soft-sell electrical today we're going to replace a phone jack and the first rule of thumb is use whatever wire was existing forget about the other colors the standard color code is red green and that would be line one same thing on the back here red green and there is an up and down on these the electrodes are always up and your push tab is always facing down so it's like that it's upside-down and that's the right way so you just take your green hook it over and never use a screw gun to tighten these because the screws go into plastic and you'll strip them out immediately now that's connected properly and as I set the tab the release tab always faces down stuff those wires in and that is how you can install a phone jack properly
