our blu-ray player just up and died after eight years and we were so happy to find the lg bp 175 blu-ray dvd player with hdmi port bundle comes with a six foot hdmi cable on amazon we don't live stream use hulu netflix etc etc but just wanted to play our blu-rays this price was very competitive especially since it comes with the hdmi cord it arrived all safe and sound and previously unopened everything plugged right in and works very well with our eight-year-old sharp flat screen the picture is clear and bright and the sound is good the unit operates fully from the included remote the actual unit only allows on slash off slash from the player itself and has no digital message windows but rather shows a small light when the unit is on the size is smaller than our old blu-ray player and fits easily on top of another player since we don't use the blu-ray player for apps streaming new flick
