Play your favorite DVD movies and record TV programs onto DVD with one component: the Lite-On LVW5001 DVD player/recorder combo. The LVW5001 enables you to burn your own DVDs from a TV source, a DV camcorder, or any other A/V device. You'll get impressively clear video playback from this progressive-scan DVD player. In addition to DVDs and audio CDs, the LVW5001 is also compatible with VCDs, SVCDs, JPEG still images, and MP3 audio files.

A unique feature among DVD recorders, the LVW-5001 comes with a DV-Link (IEEE 1394) connection port that allows you to connect the recorder to a digital video camcorder and digitalize video clips into DVD format that can be preserved forever. In addition, the LVW-5001 uses the LSI-8600 Multimedia Image Processing Chipset to maximize the image quality of recorded programs as well as digital camcorder clips.

The LVW5001 records to DVD+R/RW (it is not compatible with DVD-R/RW) and has four quality modes: HQ (1 hour, 9.5 Mbps bit rate), SP (2 hours, 5.1 Mbps), EP (4 hours, 2.5 Mbps), and SLP (6 hours, 1.7 Mbps).

I'm gonna warn you ahead of time this video may be a little bit longer okay I have a very nice unit here that before I even get into what it is it's got a hard drive in it and a DVD writer it is a light on DVD writer it's a it's a tool to a record that means it can record to the hard disk that's inside and the DVD if you put it in and I believe it can record from the hard drive to a DVD which is what I'm gonna demonstrate in this hopefully cuz you know even though I saw the manual with this I didn't actually read it okay so this is a late on all right lvw - 5 0 for 5 HDD plus a DVD recorder it's a really nice comes to in do remote the original remote alright which I had to buy separately mind you huh doesn't matter okay so it's got a little bit of light where on the top have had some kind of component on it but not too bad let me tell you how I have this set up alright I have a DVD vide
