I've built a couple of these in the and I found them to be very good what it is actually is the if you like the DC part of a power supply it's simply you put in your center tapped transformer and out comes plus or minus plus and minus DC now obviously it will depend on the input voltage as to what comes out but I'm using this for the latest version of my amplifier project and I will require round about plus or minus 50 volts and the transformers on its way but this is all this is is the capacitors and the diodes and an LED basically now the things that I like about this in particular is this here we have no less than five earth connections now that may seem a bit of an ogre overkill but in reality it's not because you've got to earth returns from your amplifier power supply and you would have to earth returns from your loudspeakers now ideally they would all connect here and so many of
