Description

Open End Frames are made of spring steel with a 3/8" pin and support which can be used to hang the Scrim from the C Stand handle when not in use. The two upright arms of the frame are slotted at the two open ends to retain the piano wire woven through the fabric to make up the fourth side of the frame without causing a shadow. Open Ends are used to control or manipulate light falling on certain areas of the set or subject. They can be used to soften or reduce light without a noticeable edge. A color coded binding is used around the frame to identify the fabric. Matthews Open End frames are black powder coated to minimize unwanted reflections.

hey guys Tom here from the lens Depot here today to talk to you about our Matthews scrim kit this is available for rent now and we have everything all set up here we'll kind of go through what's included with it so you get two of these clamps these allow you to attach the scrim frame to a light stand or to a see stand you can see I have it here this is the frame itself we'll show you here in just a minute how to set this up and then there's a variety of different diffusers and other attachments for it this is the silk diffuser this allows you to get a nice even illumination there's also a black flag this allows you to subtract light block light you know get rid of it in the frame and then there's two of the scrims these will soften and kind of narrow the spread of the light there's this single which is this one right here and then there's the double now you can kind of get an idea if yo
