hello i'm mr wilson and you may think that this is a celestron 8se but it's actually not it's the older version the celestron nextstar 8i special edition now if you've got one of these i recommend that you hang on to it it's actually a little bit better than the newer se version now what makes it better is that the motors in the mount are much smoother uh and just all around nicer than in the newer version one of the advantages that the newer version does have over this older telescope however is that the newer version has a dovetail bar on here that allows you to actually remove the optical tube assembly or ota and that allows you to then put the telescope on another mount if you want this telescope the older version doesn't offer that capability the mount and the ota are permanently fused together so in this video i'm going to show you how to disassemble the mount and the the telescop
