The Med-Mizer Retractabed has been designed with a space saving safety feature many beds just can't offer. The retraction feature keeps you within reach of items placed nearby such as a glass of water, your favorite book or a T.V. remote. Instead of creating an awkward gap, the Retractabed gently brings the bed deck back towards the wall when put into the sit-up position. The bed also includes a pair of Med-Support 3-position safety rails. The high rail position can be used as a leverage point or stand assist, the mid rail position works as a half rail, and the lowered position places the rail evenly with the mattress. The Easy access support arm controls are embedded in the 3-position safety rails and are located on both arms. The clinical contour functions can be accessed inside the rails and the HI/low function on the outside of the rails for easy caregiver access.Easy to StoreThe Retractabed can be folded up for storage without having to take the bed apart. The up storage feature allows the bed to be folded in an up-right rollable position which only requires about 4 square feet of floor space for storage. Clinical ContourThe positioning options offered on the Retractabed help to keep users in the same position, reducing the risk of skin shearing and ulcers. The simple-to-use control allows you to activate the head and knee sections simultaneously, creating a comfortable 12 to 15 degree knee break. This positioning feature prevents the risk of sliding toward the foot of the bed and the for assistive repositioning.
