so once I had cracked open all these laptop battery packs to extract the 18 650 cells I needed a method to charge them and test them now my first charger that I purchased was something like this so these are available on eBay very cheaply but my experience was that they tend to overcharge the cells so this one would charge the cells to approximately 4 point 22 volts and I have had another one that actually would charge to 4.30 volts any time you overcharge a lithium battery you are damaging it and you're shortening its life so I've stopped using these Chargers the second charger I used was this so this is a TP 40:56 based charger so this it can be powered off with USB or off of a 5 volt power supply and you will need to connect a battery holder to charge the 18:56 50 cells so these are also very cheap and you can go get them in bulk for for not much money the don't this one is very good
