so after the ham radio versus CB vs rugged Ridge vs. FRS test that I did with Mike from all-terrain family I was so disappointed in the ham radios performance that I pretty much immediately went home and ordered an external antenna for the Jeep and my plan is to just connect that external antenna directly to the HT inside the Jeep and see how that does I ordered a stainless fender mount that's actually designed for a CB antenna so it came with a CB antenna stud a SMA 2 nmo Wilson coax cable a comet 27-inch dual band antenna and if you're going to be attaching SMA cable to a baofeng the connectors on the baofeng antenna are backwards from what they normally would be so you have to get an SMA female-to-female adapter which a pack of four off of Amazon was four dollars so I picked those up as well before I actually installed anything on the Jeep I assembled everything on my desk just to ma
