Hey folks, in looking at choosing a
headset for a new bike I came across the Cane Creek the 40 Series and the 10 Series. And since aside from the spec sheet I couldn't find much information
online here's how they compare. Both the 10 and the 40 series have very similar labels and if I'm to look at this 40 series you can see it here specified on the label, it is the ZS type. There's 3 types of headsets
depending on the bearing location. This particular one is the zero stack meaning that you have the bearing sitting into the pressed in cups. Then the first number that
you have up here-44-that is the external dimension of the cup or the internal
dimension of your head tube. The frame head tube. Followed by 28.6 - that is the millimeters of the steerer tube of your fork. Looking at the bottom bearing, again ZS, 56 gives you 56 mm external dimension of the cup or internal dimension of your h
