the Cyprus cy7 c6 52:13 is a usb-to-serial bridge similar to the FTDI basic breakout except it's based on a Cyprus part instead of an F TDI part the breakout connects to your computer using a micro USB port and initializes using generic USB serial drivers we've supplied a solder jumper on the top side of the board so that you can switch between 3.3 volt and 5 volt operation the board also breaks out all of the chips dte pins which means if you have a logic level converter this board will even do rs-232 another thing unique to this board is that it has eight pins of configurable GPIO just download the configuration tool from the Cypress website and you can assign different functions to all of these pins finally the sport is also capable of working at voltages below 2 volts you just have to clear the solder jumper on top of the board connect the solder jumper on the bottom of the board an
