it's a cheapy little tube preamp with chinese yum no brand tubes i purchased the suggested ge tubes but wanted to let the originals burn in to see if the sound changes any later it'll see if the ge tubes change anything im using it with a harman kardon t40 turntable loaded with a pickering xp 15 625 emm cartridge hooked up to a knob sound tube amplifier with oscar and svetlana eb tubes and home built speakers i also want to hook it up to another stereo either my pioneer or hk receiver and klipsch speakers just for grins and giggles it's quiet i have it grounded to the turntable and amp to avoid hum and i really don't hear any it doesn't sound that bad one thing that i'm not sure of but it looks like there are leds under the tubes that make them appear to be glowing way more than a tube normally does i can see the heaters and the tube glowing but there is orange glow under the tubes it d
